Overview
Refreshly ("we", "our") is a Chrome extension that automatically refreshes browser tabs at intervals you choose. This policy explains what information the extension handles and how it is used.
Data we store
The extension stores the following locally in your browser using Chrome storage APIs:
- Auto-refresh settings per tab (interval, pause state, hard refresh, limits)
- Tab display info you start refresh on: title, URL, favicon URL, tab ID
- Refresh counters (per tab and a global total shown in the popup)
- Theme preference (light/dark) for the extension popup
Configurations may sync across your signed-in Chrome browsers via chrome.storage.sync. We do not operate our own servers to collect this data.
Data we do not collect
- We do not sell personal data to third parties
- We do not use advertising or analytics trackers in the extension
- We do not transmit browsing data to external servers
- We do not load or execute remote code
Permissions
- alarms — schedule tab refreshes in the background
- storage — save your settings and sync across devices
- tabs — reload only tabs you configure for auto-refresh
Your choices
You can stop auto-refresh on any tab at any time, remove the extension to delete local data, or disable Chrome sync for extension data in your browser settings.
